What Is VMaaS Pro?
Vulnerability Management as a Service (VMaaS) is an ongoing managed cyber security service for identifying, reviewing, prioritising and tracking vulnerabilities across an organisation’s IT environment.
VMaaS Pro by Redpalm is our managed vulnerability management service. It combines recurring scanning, expert review, remediation guidance and a customer portal – keeping the view current as your systems, software and risks change – meaning you always see what matters, what is affected and what needs to happen next.

What the Service Involves
Asset & Vulnerability Scanning
Recurring scanning across agreed endpoints, servers, firewalls, cloud environments and external-facing systems. VMaaS Pro identifies known vulnerabilities, missing patches, exposed services and other weaknesses within scope.
The VMaaS Pro Portal
A live customer view of vulnerability exposure, affected assets, severity and trends. Drill into individual findings and see where action is needed.
Expert Review & Prioritisation
Redpalm reviews findings in context, helping your team focus on the vulnerabilities that need attention rather than working through raw scanner output.
Remediation Guidance
Clear next steps for identified vulnerabilities, including practical guidance on what to fix and where to focus first. Redpalm can also support remediation where hands-on help is required.
Reporting & Service Review
Technical detail for remediation teams, management visibility for wider oversight, and regular reviews to agree priorities and next actions.
Ongoing Tracking
New, recurring and unresolved vulnerabilities remain visible over time, making progress easier to track and evidence.
How VMaaS Pro Works
1. Scope & Onboard
We agree the assets and environments to be covered, confirm the service scope and onboard them into VMaaS Pro.
2. Scan & Identify
Recurring scanning maintains visibility of vulnerabilities across the agreed estate as systems, software and exposures change.
3. Review & Prioritise
Redpalm reviews the findings, highlights the issues that need attention and provides clear context around priority and next steps.
4. Remediate & Track
Your team works through the agreed actions, with Redpalm support available where required. Outstanding vulnerabilities and progress remain visible in the portal and through service reviews.

Your VMaaS Pro Portal
The portal gives technical teams and decision-makers a shared view of current vulnerability risk without expecting management to interpret raw scanner data.
- Current vulnerability exposure by severity and asset
- Individual vulnerability detail and affected systems
- Outstanding issues and remediation progress
- Trend visibility to show how exposure is changing over time
The result is a clear view of what is exposed, where it is, how serious it is and what needs to happen next.

How VMaaS Pro Supports Cyber Essentials
Explore Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus
Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus require in-scope software to remain supported and high-risk or critical security updates and vulnerability fixes to be applied within 14 days of release. VMaaS Pro helps keep those issues visible so they can be dealt with earlier. VMaaS Pro supports readiness and ongoing vulnerability management. It does not replace the wider Cyber Essentials controls or the certification process.
VMaaS Pro vs Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing
VMaaS Pro – Ongoing Vulnerability Management
VMaaS Pro keeps vulnerability visibility current. It repeatedly identifies vulnerabilities, supports prioritisation and tracks remediation as the environment changes.
Vulnerability Assessment – Point-in-Time Visibility
A vulnerability assessment provides a snapshot of known weaknesses at a particular point in time. It is useful for identifying exposure, but the results begin ageing as soon as systems or vulnerabilities change.
Penetration Testing – Controlled Manual Testing
Penetration testing uses manual techniques to test how weaknesses could be exploited and how far an attacker may be able to progress. It provides a different type of assurance and is commonly used alongside vulnerability management.
The three approaches are complementary. VMaaS Pro provides the ongoing management layer between periodic assessments, penetration tests and certification activity.

Frequently Asked Questions
VMaaS is an ongoing managed cyber security service that identifies, reviews, prioritises and tracks vulnerabilities across an organisation’s IT environment. VMaaS Pro combines recurring scanning with Redpalm expert review, remediation guidance and a customer-facing portal.
A vulnerability assessment is usually a point-in-time exercise. VMaaS Pro is ongoing, keeping vulnerability visibility current and tracking new findings and remediation as systems and risks change.
VMaaS Pro uses recurring scanning rather than relying on annual or one-off checks. The exact cadence depends on the asset type and agreed service scope.
Depending on scope, VMaaS Pro can cover supported endpoints, servers, firewalls, cloud environments and external-facing or reachable IP-based assets. Coverage is agreed during onboarding.
No. VMaaS Pro identifies, prioritises and tracks vulnerabilities and provides remediation guidance. Where hands-on remediation is required, Redpalm can support the work through the appropriate technical or managed service route.
The portal shows current vulnerability exposure, individual findings, affected systems, outstanding issues and trends over time. It gives technical and management teams a shared view of what needs attention.
VMaaS Pro helps identify vulnerability and patching issues that could affect readiness, giving teams more time to address them before certification. It supports vulnerability management but does not replace the wider controls or certification process.
No. Redpalm provides the scanning, review and vulnerability-management expertise. VMaaS Pro can support organisations without a dedicated security team or work alongside an existing IT or cyber security function.
