We are currently seeking senior-level sales professionals with proven success in at least one previous B2B Account Management or Business Development role at a UK IT reseller. The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in an aggressive growth phase at Redpalm Technology Services, offering excellent career progression as we expand. As a senior level Sourcing Consultant, you will have substantial experience in the B2B IT channel at tier 2 level, demonstrating sustained growth in an established account base over successive years. Preferably with a background of selling into the mid to enterprise corporate space, you must have a high degree of business acumen and demonstrable expertise in pro-actively selling an array of leading technologies, with the ability to consult on high level strategy and complex solutions in areas such as virtualisation, data centre, networks, and cloud computing.

With an in-depth understanding of solution sales, you will need to identify both OPEX and CAPEX level opportunities and have proven skills to see both types of project through to fruition. With a structured and organised approach, you must be able to multi-task well to strategically manage many projects at once, dealing in all aspects of the customers’ IT life-cycle, adding value at every stage. A large degree of autonomy in the role requires a strong independent thinker, who’s comfortable engaging with every level of the supply chain. With a keen eye for maximising opportunities, your demonstrable success to date will have come from listening to customer needs and then helping to develop an IT strategy that addresses these, recommending technology solutions that are in-line with their core organisational principals.

You must have extensive experience and yet still possess great drive to do more; we are looking for candidates who display the right mix of experience and hunger, we are not interested in one without the other. You must also be an excellent team-worker who will help build a unified knowledge-base by sharing information across our technical and sales team. You will need leadership qualities, as others with less experience will look to learn from you.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years IT sales experience (unless in exceptional cases where an individual can demonstrate an exemplary sales record in a shorter time frame)
  • Prove £20k+ monthly GP average over min of 1yr in Tier 2 IT Sales
  • Prove annual sales revenue of £1m+
  • Demonstrate consistent over-achievements in their career to date
  • Have experience dealing with multiple customers i.e. not just 1 large customer
  • Background in Private Sector preferred over Public Sector
  • Have a "can do", or as we like to call it a "Make I.T. Happen" attitude
  • Be articulate, a confident communicator, and well presented
  • Exhibit exceptional drive and have an overwhelming hunger to succeed in business
  • Be comfortable working in a role that has a large degree of autonomy associated to it
  • Be financially driven with a natural competitiveness
  • Be self confident
  • Take genuine pride in their work
  • Be well organized with strong prioritization skills
  • Possess a high standard of grammar and written communications and numeracy skills
